Information about Helium
Is Helium Safe?
Relax,
helium is an inert gas which won't burn (non-flammable), and is
completely safe to use. However, it is still wise to have adult
supervision when filling the balloons.
Where can I buy helium from and how much does it
cost?
Helium is available at most florists, party stores
or balloon shops . Many supermarkets also have a large helium canister
where can you usually a quick fill for $2.00 - $6.00.
Small 8.9 cubic foot Canisters manufactured by Worthington
Cylinder can be purchased as a “Party Balloon Set” at
many discount stores such as Toys R Us, Price Costco, K-mart, Wal-Mart,
SAMS, and welding shops.
How long does helium stay in the balloon?
Usually about 1 to 2 weeks. The helium will seep out
of almost anything and metalized nylon is no exception. If after
a week or so your balloon starts looking wrinkly, top up as needed
and get back to the business of flying!
